Camping Le Roptai has existed since 1932 and is therefore the longest existing campsite in Belgium. The campsite is beautifully situated on the southern slope of a hill, in the wooded area of the Famenne. The terrain extends over more than ten hectares with a variation of fields and forests. Camping Le Roptai offers both permanent annual pitches and tourist camping pitches and rental accommodations.
ABOUT THE CAMPING
The campsite is divided into six fields. Fields A, R, B and C are 196 permanent annual pitches, each with its own connection to electricity (meter), water, sewage. The campsite also offers two large camping fields, D and E, with 103 pitches for tents, caravans and campers. Campers can also find a spot in the forest. For campers, a separate corner has been set up on field E with flat pitches on gravel, and a chemical toilet and grey water emptying point. The campsite also has 32 rental accommodations:
• 8 safari tents
• 4 Norwegian log cabins
• 4 mobile homes
• 14 camp houses/cabins
• 1 group accommodation (max. 14 pers.)
The accommodations vary from nostalgic wooden houses (5 of which do not have private sanitary facilities) that were built by hand, to modern mobile homes that are fully equipped.
Le Roptai has the following facilities:

Camping Le Roptai offers a wide range of camping pitches, facilities and activities. Over the years, the campsite has managed to retain its unique character: an authentic family campsite, in the middle of a wooded area with many sports and recreational opportunities in the vicinity. All this makes Le Roptai the ideal recreational destination for young and old.
The location of the campsite is particularly attractive for several reasons. The campsite is not far from the motorway (E411, 5 minutes drive), exactly halfway between Brussels and Luxembourg. This makes Le Roptai easily accessible, and also a popular place for travellers. The campsite is close to major tourist attractions such as the Domain of the Caves of Han (which attracts around 300,000 visitors annually) and popular cities such as Dinant and Rochefort. Because the campsite is located on the southern slope of a wooded hill, there is no risk of flooding.
The campsite has a large and loyal customer base due to its long existence. In addition, more than 7,000 tourists visit the campsite each year, mainly from Europe.
Visitors particularly appreciate the personal character of the campsite: no standard accommodations but unique rental objects, and approachable staff who think along with the customer. There is also plenty of room for children to experience new adventures all day long, which makes the campsite a popular place for families.

The family business has been in the same family for three generations that founded the campsite in 1932.
