Camping Moulin de Bistain is located in the middle of nature, 8 km from the city of Gouvy and the border with GH Luxembourg and a few kilometers from the historic towns of Cherain, Steinbach and Limerlé. The entrance to the campsite is opposite the famous rock of Bistain. The campsite was created in the sixties on the site of the former miller's company. The 17th century mill building has been converted into a spacious private residence, reception and chip shop/takeaway.

In this area you can fully enjoy peace, nature and wilderness. The campsite is connected to a network of walking, cycling and riding trails that extends over no less than 10 municipalities, the TARPAN network.
If you can't get enough of stargazing, you've come to the right place: Moulin de Bistain is located a long way from civilization and artificial light, which means that the Milky Way, the constellations and the ring around Jupiter sparkle brightly in the dark firmament.

THE MAIN BUILDING
The former mill building, now the beating heart of the campsite, includes a chip shop/takeaway, a recreation room for guests, storage rooms and a modern private house with 3 large bedrooms.

THE CAMPING SITE
This site covers 11,982 m². The 165 pitches are spacious. The Rettigny stream runs across the site. A zip line is stretched above the natural pond. Both the stream and the pond are full of trout. On the lower part, along the water, there are 77 passing pitches. Three pitches have rental accommodations: 2 chalets (or huts), equipped for 5 people and 1 glamping tent, equipped for 6 people. The higher part with 88 seasonal pitches is currently not in use and partly vacated, but can easily be restored to its former glory.
There is also a small playground, a covered sandpit, a modern toilet building, storage rooms, technical room, good infrastructure and, above all, lots of greenery.

THE TOILET BUILDING
The large toilet building was newly built in 2020. It has separate ladies' and gents' units with fresh sanitary facilities (showers, washbasins, toilet), spaces for wheelchair users, a central communal area with washbasins, washing machine and dryer, a baby room, and a separate room for emptying chemical toilets.

PARTICULARITIES
All electrical installations are AREI compliant and the reports are valid until 16/06/2027.
The fire prevention report of 13/09/2022 states that the campsite meets all requirements.
The fire safety certificate (ASI) is valid until 15/02/2028.
CGT recognition “tourist camping”, 2 stars, valid until 15/02/2028.
Unique permit (environmental and building permit), valid until 21/09/2026.
Own water purification 300EH.
The campsite is not located in a flood-prone area, except for a small part of the transit pitches that are in the orange zone (average risk).
The part in floodable area must be completely evacuated between 15 November and 31 March. All other places may be rented all year round.
Moulin de Bistain is allowed to remain open all year round, but the current owners close the campsite between 1 October and 30 March.
