The town of Lembeke falls under the municipality of Kaprijke, in a particularly beautiful part of Flanders halfway between Knokke and Ghent. This is the Meetjesland : The land where you can get a breath of fresh air in polders, near endless lakes, along creeks, across open plains and through ancient deciduous forests. Peace prevails here, and at the same time nice terraces, good restaurants and cozy shops are nearby.

Camping Malpertuus is undisputedly beautifully situated. The site is directly connected to the Lembeek forests. At the entrance road is the Chapel of Troost en Vrede with a small Maria grotto built on the remains of a bunker. Meetjesland, as you read, stands for peace and nature, not far from the sea, sights and cities, such as Bruges and Ghent. Countless romantics have pledged their hearts here : Jacques Brel sang about his love for Marieke and Cyriel Buysse expressed his longing for Rosa in endless letters.

This campsite is a type of 'stay park' with largely permanent camping pitches.
The site, which covers more than 3.7 HA, is arranged with a zone for mobile homes, a zone for campers and a zone for passers-by, infrastructure and buildings.

The pitches are nice and spacious, which offers the necessary privacy to the campers. The pitches are located on lawned avenues that open onto a tarmac lane in the center of the site and with a side lane to the entrance/exit.

The site is located entirely in the recreational zone where housing construction is not permitted.

The former barn of 320m² was converted into a canteen with a terrace for one half and sanitary block for the other half.
The former farmhouse of 85 m² is currently used as storage.
